  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon brandy, optional

For the egg wash

  • 1 tbsp cream
  • 1 large egg yolk

Method for Making Apple Pie Recipe

  • To make a delicious apple pie, you’ll need 6 to 8 good cooking apples, such as Jonathon, Granny Smith, Golden, Fuji, Delicious, or Brae burn, weighing about 3 pounds total. Now cut these apples into 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch slices or chunks and place them in a large bowl. Now add 1 tbsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to this bowl to prevent browning.
  • Now in a separate large bowl, mix dry ingredients like 1/2 to 2/3 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg Let’s mix them well. Now put this mixture in the bowl of apples. Use your hands to mix the ingredients together until the apples are evenly coated.
